Hey! I'm Emily!
Hey, I’m Emily — a photographer with a heart for people and a love for storytelling. I studied portrait drawing in college and have always been fascinated by faces — each one so uniquely crafted by a creative God.
I graduated from St. Cloud State in 2019, started working at The Waters Church in 2021, and married my husband Sam in 2024. These days, you can usually find me behind the camera, hanging out in a cozy coffee shop, or curled up with a good book.
I photograph people with a natural, candid storytelling approach, highlighting warm, true-to-life color tones and the beauty that already exists in every person. I use gentle posing to draw out authentic emotion, creating a calm and encouraging atmosphere so you can simply be yourself. At the heart of my work is a deep belief that each person is uniquely made in the image of a creative God, and photography is one of my favorite ways to honor that truth.
My goal is to help you feel seen, valued, and completely comfortable in front of the camera — no modeling experience needed. From the moment you inquire to the day your gallery is delivered, I keep the process simple, organized, and supportive, so you always know what to expect. I guide you gently through posing and interacting in ways that feel natural, creating a session experience that’s relaxed, encouraging, and genuinely enjoyable.
